My name is Mitchell Pateman and I was raised in a small town called Dryden, Ontario.
Growing up in a rural area was awesome because I learned how to fish, dirtbike, snowboard, and how to drive a standard car, or a farm tractor.
When I moved to the city and I didn't have the option to use my parents vehicles anymore, so I had to find a new way to get around.
Enter Longboard.
Being only about a twenty minute walk from campus, all of it being downhill, I would have a nice ride every day.
My roommates started riding my board and started getting the itch themselves. Now all of us have boards, and we all use them every day, if the weather allows it.
